Serie 421XXXX

Serie 421XXXX

Código: Serie 421XXXX
Marca: Nortek

Characteristics

  • An outer perforated thin plastic wrap, for fiberglass non-woven fabric elements, tightly bonds each ply for uniform, rigid ply spacing. This minimizes pleat flexing and possible filter element damage offering flow protection, also under severe cold start or pressure overload conditions, providing reliable performance.
  • The metallic structure of the ends incorporates flow channels facilitating the circulation of the oil, thus minimizing the effects of pressure drop and maintenance costs by increasing the fatigue cycles of the element.
  • Choosing the right filter media depends on the type of application. For hydraulic applications, fiberglass, polyester, cellulose, metal fiber and stainless steel mesh media are used.
  • Non-woven fiberglass fabric.- They have a high dirt absorption capacity and an excellent degree of separation (3-25µm) thanks to their labyrinthine structure.
  • Polyester fleece.- 100% polyester fiber filter material with thermal bonding that offers high resistance to pressure differences, has a high dirt absorption capacity and an excellent degree of separation (3-25µm) with low passage resistance, good chemical and wear resistance.
  • Filtering paper.- Cellulose fiber filtering material with special impregnation, it is an economic variant with a good absorption capacity and a degree of separation (10-50µm). It is not suitable for aqueous media.
  • Stainless steel non-woven fabric.- Filtering material made up of sintered metal fibers with a labyrinthine structure for depth filtration, they have a high dirt absorption capacity and an excellent degree of separation (3-25µm) with a low passage resistance, good chemical and thermal resistance.
  • Fine steel cloth.- Filtering material made up of metal mesh fabric (square or braid) in 1.4301 or 1.4305 steel for surface filtration, offering low flow resistance and a degree of separation (10-1000µm), and excellent chemical and thermal resistance.
  • The sealing of the O-ring configurable in different materials (NBR, EPDM, Teflon) according to the applications, together with the resistance of the end caps as part of the filter housing, make up this competitive element, reducing disposal and maintenance costs.

Description

Nortek filters incorporate state-of-the-art design technology, which through a pleated support system and the arrangement of the elements that compose it in the structure, achieve unbeatable strength, performance and useful life.

Design and principle of operation

Both the design and the composition of the elements are designed to facilitate the circulation of the oil through the filter, minimizing pressure losses and retaining contaminants as they pass through the filters.

filter elements according to the degree of filtration to be obtained (Beta Ratio “β”: The number of particles entering the filter, divided by the number of particles leaving the filter).

The effectiveness of the filter element in contaminant control depends on its design and its sensitivity to any unstable operating conditions, which may stress and damage the filter element.

Grade of filtration Classification ( µm ) according to the ß value
ß=2 ß=10 ß=75 ß=100 ß=200 ß=1,000
12µ filter 3.2 5.5 8.3 8.7 9.7 12
22µ filter 7.2 11th 15.8 16.5 18.2 22

Installation

In the installation of these filtering elements, the type of process must be taken into account, in order to adapt said element according to the needs and in the most efficient way possible.

Applications

Nortek 421XXXX series filters are suitable for hydraulic systems, mechanism lubrication and fluid control, they are pressure filters that are installed behind the pump and clean the hydraulic oil behind the pump, before passing through other components, such as valves, cylinders, etc. Pump wear particles are immediately removed from the hydraulic oil. Due to the direct alignment behind the pump, the pressure filters must withstand the maximum pressure of the system. The main reason for pressure filtration is the protection of sensitive components. In addition to working as a protection filter, pressure filters also serve to meet the required degree of purity.
