Description
These flow dividers patented as "Divinor" by Nortek have the mission of distributing the oil air through various lubrication points without using mechanical means.
Although they can be used in any type of industry, they have been developed for steel applications, especially in rolling mill chocks.
Design and principle of operation
The flow enters the interior of the Divinor through the inlet (A), colliding with the internal divider (1) which is responsible for distributing the flow through both outlets based on the holes made in both outlets. Due to its fluted profile developed by Nortek, the division is done accurately through both outlets (B and C).
Facility
It is made by means of a longitudinal hole of Ø25 H11 recommended by Nortek made in the chock in an area free of obstacles with both sides of the chock threaded to 1”bsp as standard (optionally to M30x1.5) and feed holes towards the bearing and seals.
In the longitudinal hole, a plug is placed on one side and a ¼”bsp Nortek entry system on the other. Internally, as many Diviners will be placed as necessary, placing some intermediate extensions as needed. The feeding holes are clogged on the outside.
